Thomas Struttmann is the CEO of Struttmann Consulting. He brings more than 30 years of experience leading projects, supporting M&A due diligence, and providing expertise on asset management and capital planning for top Fortune 500 companies, such as Caterpillar, Citibank, Freeport-McMoRan, Newmont, Barrick, PT Indkia Energy, EMIRSA, BNP Paribus, and Petrosea.


Over the course of his career, Struttmann has helped reduce companies’ marginal costs by more than $700 million. During his 24 years at Caterpillar, as global account manager he worked on a team that pioneered a global account framework that reshaped the company’s service delivery model, enabling the organization to transition from a transactional to a strategic relationship model. In 2000, he founded Yield Dynamics, a software firm that introduced innovations for the $200 billion equipment rental industry.

Struttmann founded Struttmann Consulting in 2001 and continues to lead the company’s growth. During his tenure, the company has expanded to capture new opportunities in Asia and South America. With revenues of $1-20 billion, his mining clients operate, manage, distribute, and manufacture complex capital equipment around the world.

Struttmann provides executive level leadership and is a renowned expert on delivering proven results. His practical insights into mining supply chains translate into process improvements that achieve breakthrough performance. His ability to shape project focus and narrow priorities helps him bring disparate groups to agreement around the common goal of successful business turnaround.

Struttmann holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois.
